Lieve Lowet

Member of EMMI Conflicts of Interest Oversight Committee

Lieve Lowet began her career in international corporate banking at BBL (now ING Bank Belgium) in the 80ties. She later spent 15 years at McKinsey & Co., providing strategic advice to financial institutions across Europe. From 2003 to 2008, she served as Secretary-General of AISAM, representing the international mutual insurance sector to European and other authorities.

Currently, Ms. Lowet owns and directs Schuman European Affairs BV, a Brussels-based consultancy specializing in European insurance and pension regulations. She is also an expert member of Belgium’s Insurance Commission and a published author on European Solvency II law.

Ms. Lowet holds a Master’s in International Studies from Johns Hopkins University and degrees in Law and Philosophy from KU Leuven, Belgium.
